May 13, 2004 -- Professional Bank recently completed a total restoration of its home office at the corner of Abrams Road and Prospect Avenue in Lakewood. Locally owned and managed, Professional Bank is a full-service bank started by 47 Dallas families with the goal of bringing personalized, community banking services back to the Lakewood/east Dallas area.

"Professional Bank prides itself on being a hometown bank," said Jack Seifrick, co-founder and chairman. "From our historic building in the heart of Lakewood, we offer old-fashioned personalized service, state of the art internet technology and a totally new experience in banking, one that long ago was more common."

One of the bank's most unique features is its customer lounge, a comfortably furnished lobby area providing customers a welcoming area to enjoy a cappuccino, read the newspaper, check e-mail and catch up with the latest neighborhood news. The building includes a total of 5,000 square feet, an ATM machine, drive-through teller lanes and plenty of parking.

Paul Duesing Partners of Dallas designed the building and interiors. The firm typically specializes in designing boutique hotels in resort destinations along with significant personal residences. Their design goal was to bring an atmosphere of luxury customer service, typical in their hotel projects, to the banking arena, something not previously accomplished in the industry.

Grand Opening festivities include:
Friday, May 21 from 5:00 - 9:00 pm
Invitational cocktail reception and ribbon-cutting ceremony with public officials, bank investors, customers and staff.

Saturday, May 22 from 12:00 - 3:00 pm
"Taste of Lakewood" free family event with food samples from local restaurants, bounce house, children's games, music and more.
