Professional bank's 'Future Women in Business' internship program September 4, 2008
As a part of Professional Bank's commitment to women business owners and executives in our community, the "Future Women in Business" summer internship program just completed its first successful summer.
The program matches up college-aged women from our community with members of Professional Bank's Women in Business networking group and places them for summer internships. The goal is for these young women to gain insight and experience in an industry that is of interest to them, while"shadowing" a female business owner or executive in her day-to-day role and activities.
Professional Bank was proud to sponsor Garland's own Leah Jordan, daughter of Dr. Darrell and Karen Jordan. Leah will be graduating in December from the University of Texas at Austin with a major in corporate accounting and a minor in accounting. Leah was a valuable member of Professional Bank's credit department during her internship.
The 2009 Future Women in Business internship program will begin accepting resumes in March 2009. For more information, contact Darlene Ellison, Community/Business Development Officer at 214269-2122 or dellison@professionalbankna.com.
